Lovely setting, nice new shower block, owners friendly and helpful, 2 pubs minutes away another 15 minutes away next to river.
Not bad but overpriced for what it is. No electric hookups when camping. Nice play area for kids in the shade and close to the river. Lack of defined pitches so camping here on a busy weekend is an organised chaos :) Started camping by cleaning a dog poo (no management fault obviously) as five minutes in playing around kids managed to smeared it all over stinking up the place - that memory will stay imprinted in my brain :). Walk to Symonds Yat Rock is a must!
Good new shower block and flat pitching field. Careful not to have to pay the fun fair for launch and land for canoes
First visit here and I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed thurs 12 - sat 14 July. The couple running it were extremely helpful and friendly and assisted us with a shadey pitch for our tent. Toilet and shower block were very clean and well maintained (the cleanest I have seen for a while compared to other sites). Fantastic location for families or those just wanting things to do in walking distance like we did. It did get busy Fri night/sat so would recommend pitching on a different day for more choice of pitch.
Go here every year. Much improved since they got rid of the old site warden. Lovely couple look after it now. Brilliant site.
