Cant fault repair work on van, but when I called on the day of completion to make sure they brought it to my work site, rather than home which is an hour away, they went and took it home anyway. This left me stranded and I had to find a way back. Barely an apology, no response to my complaint.
I took my car in for insurance repairs to UK select. I work in the claims department for another insurer, so I can be quite critical. So here's an honest review.Hold times were short when calling, happy to provide updates, colour matched the car perfectly which is a rarity these days and you wouldn't know it had been in a minor scrape with a wall. They took a few weeks to do it due to delays out of their hands and also a bank holiday weekend, but honestly worth the wait. I had the damage on my car for a while and it was annoying me a little to the point where I wanted to get rid of it after repairs, now its repaired to such a high standard and was cleaned and hoovered, I don't want to get rid! Brilliant job guys

I wish I didnt have to even give this place a 1 star. On the 24th of April 2018, my car was taken to UK Select in Ross-on-Wye for repairs after it was stolen and damaged in the interior. Uk Select assured me that my car would be back within two weeks. Chris (head of servicing & repairs) didnt keep me updated throughout the process and everytime I called, he told me the car was fine and that it would be home soon. Two weeks went by and no call for home-delivery. I asked Chris what was going on and he told me that the car had been valeted but that they were waiting on car parts that were on back-order. Another month went by with no update and I was starting to get upset as Chris hadnt kept me in the loop. Fast forwarding to July 18th and my car finally had been done by UK select. It was delivered to Dacia, where I bought my brand new 16 plate Dacia from two years ago. I was off to pick it up after 3 months of waiting and when I got to Dacia, my car was in more of a wreck than when it had been stolen. The only damage it had originally was a smashed dash board, stolen stereo and alcohol soaked seats which was done by the car thieves. When UK Select drove it to Dacia, they had ripped out my boot lining which exposed the under carriage of the boot, scratched paint off of my car and scratched my wheel trims. They had also given me brand new tires which were clearly not from Dacia. UK Select were done there... they had also given the car back filthy and had thrown away my black box which helped lower my insurance on the brand new car. I checked the miles and they had also driven it an extra 2000 miles. I was absolutely mortified... the repairs that shouldve been done hadnt been done but they had gone out of their own way to ruin parts of the car that didnt need touching. Chris told me that he had looked after it for the 3 months it was in his garage and that it was valeted. Chris had also lied to my insurance company when he was confronted about throwing away my black box which helped me keep an eye on the car and track it. Chris knew he had done wrong but was too in denial to admit it. My car had to go BACK in for repairs but I refused to give it to UK Select under his supervision so it went to Dacia itself. The car was repaired within two weeks which was a fraction of the time it was with Chris. Upon collecting my car from Dacia for the second time, it had been well-looked after and I couldnt of been happier. However during the time it was with Chris in UK Select, I had a litter of puppies, 4 months worth of work wages and lost my ability to enjoy summer by going on holiday. I had a rental within this time frame but i could not use it for the purposes that I use my car which is business use and using it for my dogs and puppies. Chris told me the work would be 2 weeks... it took 4 MONTHS! My insurance company are now dealing with his lack of professionalism whilst my compensation is being put into place. Do NOT use UK Select. They may have a good 4.5 stars on google, but trust me, after speaking to quite a few previous clients of theirs, it is agreed upon that his company and himself do not care for the welfare of his clients or their cars. Also, just as a side note for any of you who think you will use him anyway, Chris told me that my car was sheltered from the heat this summer but it turns out that he left it day in and day out boiling in the hot sun in an open gravel compound. I asked him to get someone to drive it regularly to keep the engine from seizing and overheating. Chris told me Dont worry, our 105 year old driver has driven our clients cars around for years and is fully insured. Now excuse me for saying this but... 105?!? Enough said. Do not use this company. If you do, I guarantee you will be leaving a similar review on their page. Original cost of repairs from thieves: 4000. End cost because of Chriss companies negligence: 12000
Just had an MOT and service carried out old on my car on the recommendation of a friend and I was reluctant to change from my local garage, but I am very pleased that I did! I found the staff very polite and friendly and the my bill was over 70 cheaper than normal! thanks again to the staff at UK Select.
